Notting Hill Carnival Events

Officially Notting Hill Carnival is the last bank Holiday weekend in August (Sunday and Monday) but celebrations begin before that! With many fun filled fetes/parties.


Panorama London

Date: 2015 date tbc (usually Saturday before Carnival Sunday)

Price: Free

Where: Emslie Horniman Pleasance Park, Bosworth Road, W10

Time: 7pm – 11pm

Panorama is a traditional free open air evening for the whole family. You will most definitely enjoy the traditional Caribbean atmosphere at Panorama. The evening consists of a competition by national steel bands as well as other entertainment.


Jouvert Notting Hill Carnival

Date: Sunday 30th August 2015

Price: Free

Where: Notting Hill, West London

Time: Early! Somepeople are there as early as 3am. J’Ouvert marks the beginning of carnival, expect to get very dirty, so wearing old clothes is a must. People will be throwing, flour, paint, talcum powder and more! Dance along the streets to the lovely sound of steel bands. J’Ouvert starts and ends at Canal way, Ladbroke Grove W14 next to Sainsbury’s car park.

Children’s Carnival Day

Where: Notting Hill, West London

A vibrant Children Parade as they showcase their pretty costumes dancing along the carnival route to the sweet sounds of soca or steel bands. Only children will be wearing costumes on children day. So it’s a nice day for the kids to go and watch. 38 systems pump music around the footprint of the carnival. Family workshops at Emslie Horniman’s Pleasance, a variety of tasty Caribbean foods, drinks and lots more.

Adult’s Carnival Day

Adult’s Notting Hill Carnival Day

Date: Monday 31st August 2015

Price: Free

Where: Notting Hill, West London.

Monday is the final day of Carnival where you will see approximately 50 bands in beautiful costumes dancing to the sweet sound of Calypso, Soca or Steel bands. Enjoy the beautiful colours, music and food. Expect to be entertained by Calypsonians, soca artists, visiting international artists and other emerging acts. You can also dance along to the 38 sound systems with their wide range of music and stage performances which contribute to the Carnival’s vibrant atmosphere. Sample the tasty Caribbean food, music, and more!
